Material Handler

responsibilities and duties.

The material handler moves and stages raw materials and completed product within the plant helping to keep an organized, safe facility.

These responsibilities include:

To ensure that all work stations have the necessary raw materials for the jobs they are running
Bring paper to the presses, printed sheets to the die cutters, cut blanks to the folders and folded envelopes to the jet press department
Must have basic understanding on reading job jackets and understanding what materials are needed for a particular job
Assist with keeping plant and warehouse floor clean and organized by keeping pallets clear from aisles and removing paper and scraps off the floor
Assist bailing in bringing full cages from sheetfed, die cutting and folding
Assist when available in moving completed product from the folding stations into the correct position in the warehouse
MUST put safety at the upmost importance

qualifications and experience.

Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack and be forklift certified
Must be willing to help out in different departments if asked
Ability to read and follow job specifications
Skill to follow instructions and operate equipment safely
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
