Folding Shift Supervisor

job purpose.

To oversee all personnel working on his/her shift and efficiently manage production in die cutting and folding operations on his/her shift.

responsibilities and duties.

• Supervise all personnel in all departments regarding safety, procedures, workflow, incidents, schedules, and any other related matters
• Oversee production in die cutting and folding operations to meet or exceed customer quality and timeliness standards
• Manage personnel in these 2 departments including training, job duties, schedules, safety procedures, motivation, discipline, time off, performance reviews, and accountability
• Supervise quality control/inspection procedures for these departments
• Coordinate efforts and communicate daily with previous shift supervisor and subsequent shift supervisor to maintain efficient & timely workflow, consistent procedures, and proper employee staffing
• Work closely with Schedule Manager and Plant Manager to produce jobs on time and make necessary adjustments to schedule
• Lead employees by setting a good example of being on-time, helping constantly, being available, covering other shifts as needed, having a supportive attitude, etc.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of these departments including equipment and work areas
• Contribute ideas and implement changes regarding new equipment and procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, and/or profitability of company
• Lock Out/Tag Out Role: Authorized employee
• Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by company management
• Execute the responsibilities of this position in a lawful and ethical manner
